Our organization believes in the power of shared experiences to inspire and inform, allowing us to expand our platform and provide financial resources to more families within the Mombasa region. Rest assured that every story, image, and patient identity is shared on our platforms with the explicit consent of the individuals and their families involved. We are grateful for the openness of the patients featured, who willingly contribute their stories. The Kenya Scoliosis Relief Initiative is honored to be part of these stories and remains dedicated to respecting the privacy of each individual throughout their involvement.
Adam
5 years old
Adam came to Coast General Hospital to receive care for another medical issue, and the pediatricians discovered his scoliosis. He has been fitted with a brace and is currently awaiting its manufacturing!
Kombo
12 years old
Kombo has severe untreated scoliosis, and with the help of KSRI and pediatricians at Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital, he has been given a brace! With the help of the brace, we hope to minimize curvature progression.

Blessing

Blessing came to Coast General Hospital for other health issues, and pediatricians noticed the curve in his spine. He has now received a spinal brace and will return to the hospital to monitor his scoliosis.

Suleman came to Coast General Hospital for other health issues, and pediatricians noticed the curve in his spine. He has now received a spinal brace and will return to the hospital to monitor his scoliosis.
Jeremiah

Jeremiah was receiving treatment for other health issues at Coast General Hospital when his doctors found the curve in his spine. He now has a brace from KSRI and returns for bi-yearly check-ups.
